You must buy an uninterruptable power supply. No tinker-toy surge suppressor units; get the real thing! You will find that most salespeople do not even want to think of one of these units because they cost about $500.00 more and that might stop the sale. (mine is a Datashield XT-300) It's time to think of yourself and not them...looking down the road you will find that the more you use your Mac in the shop, the more good data you will acquire...if you chintz now, you will pay dearly
